Packers Icon to do Private Signing

Legends of the Field is proud to present a rare private signing with NFL Hall of Famer, Super Bowl I and II MVP, five-time world champion and Green Bay Packers Icon Bart Starr.

Starr has been a staple of the Packers franchise spanning seven decades as a player, coach and ambassador.

Over the past few year Starr's signings have declined, making this opportunity more rare and a must have for Packers fans.

Many Packers fans still need Starr on Super Bowl team items, Packers MVP items, Hall of Fame items, Lombardi and Boys prints and three quarterback items with Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers.

If you are looking to get one of your items signed or are looking for an item to be signed, contact one of Legends of the Field's three convenient locations.

We have all sizes of helmets, official throwback footballs and a variety of photos and canvases available to order.

Bart Starr is one of the classiest and most well respected athletes in all of sports, so do not regret missing out on this opportunity.

Packers Future Remains Bright as Season Ends

What a tough end to a great Packers season.  A lot of people might look at this season and think it was far from great and in some aspects it was, but to win the NFC North with the amount of injuries this team had is pretty remarkable. I would also like to thank the Bears and Lions for not taking advantage of its best opportunity to win the division in years.

Though the injuries will cast a shadow on this season, there were definitely some bright spots.  Here are my top 3.

#1

This is probably the most obvious bright spot for the 2013 Packers, but it is the emergence of rookie running back Eddie Lacy. Since Lacy returned from his concussion he has looked like a brand new back, only trailing LeSean McCoy in rushing yards and Jamal Charles in rushing touchdowns.  Lacy was also named an AP second-team All-Pro along with reigning NFL MVP Adrian Peterson and is the most likely choice to winning this years Rookie of the Year award. The Packers likely would not have been in position to win the NFC North in Week 17 without Lacy's successful running while Aaron Rodgers was injured.

#2

Maybe not the most obvious now, but the play of rookie left tackle David  Bakhtiari was bright spot in 2013 and also looks very bright in the future. When Bryan Bulaga went down Packers' fans panicked at the thought of a 4th round rookie protecting our $100 million quarterback, but he played very well.  He did have some growing pains at the start of the season but found his rhythm and played well against some the NFL's best pass rushers like Jared Allen and DeMarcus Ware. Playing  Bakhtiari right out of the gate might have been a little tough at times, but he looks like he could fill that spot for a number of years to come and move Bulaga back to his more natural right side.

#3

2013 was also a year for a few guys to try and redefine themselves after an injury riddled past or just lost production. Those players are cornerback Tramon Williams and running back James Starks.  Tramon, who many thought was on the downside of his career had his best year since the Packers Super Bowl run in 2010. He intercepted three passes, forced and recovered two fumbles and also recorded 84 tackles, 19 more than his previous season high. He also covered the opponents top receiver the majority of the time with fellow defensive back Casey Hayward injured for almost the seasons entirety.

Starks bounced back from injuries over parts of the past two season. In week two he ended the Packers long streak of not having a 100-yard rusher when he torched Washington with 132 yards on 20 carries. Though Lacy was the feature back, Starks proved to be a great change of pace back averaging 5.5 yards-per-carry during the 2013 season.

Despite 2013 Packers season being over, we at Legends of the Field will make sure it continues. With the best inventory of authentic Packers autographs in the world, there are plenty of options to continue to show your support. We also will continue to have signings with past and present Packers all off -season.

The first signing we have is a private on with probable NFL offensive Rookie of the Year Eddie Lacy.  This is a great chance to get an awesome piece signed by one of the Packers brightest stars. This will almost surely be the most affordable that Lacy ever is, as his price will continue to rise with his success.

If you are one of the few people who aren't Packers fans, remember, pitchers and catchers report in less then 40 days to spring training and Brewers Opening Day is just 84 days away.  We also have a signing with Brewers All-Time great Robin Yount. Pre-order prior to January 25th to save $10.

Legends of the Field Stars Shine Bright at Night

Last night as the Packers battled the Vikings, Legends of the Field athletes were taking center stage.

Star wide receiver Jordy Nelson continued his stellar season catching seven pass for 123 yards and two touchdowns. Through seven games, he ranks third in touchdowns and seventh in receiving yards. Jordy will be conducting a private autograph signing on November 12th.  The deadline to get all items in and ordered is November 8th. Call your local store today to reserve your spot.

Another star from last nights game was Micah Hyde. Hyde has taken over punt return last night showed his big play capabilities with a 93 yard punt return for a touchdown. He also finished with six tackles.  On September 24th Micah did a public autograph signing at Legends of the Field in Delafield.  Signed mini helmets and 8x10 photos are all still available at all three Legends of the Field locations and Legendsofthefield.com

Another player who stood out last night was defensive tackle Mike Daniels.    Last night Mike registered two sacks on Vikings quarterback Christian Ponder, giving him a total of four through the young season.  Mike will be doing a public autograph signing with Legends of the Field at D2 Sports Pub on 788 Armed Forces Dr, Green Bay, WI 54304 on Sunday November 3rd from 5-6PM.

Don't forget, signing tonight is Packers left guard Josh Sitton at Legends of the Field in Mequon from 6:30-7:30PM.  Tickets are still available.

Player Spotlight: Josh Sitton

Josh Sitton has been a fixture on the Green Bay Packers offensive line. Since being drafted in 2008, out of Central Florida, Sitton has played in 79 games, while starting 70 of them.

Sitton has gained a reputation as one of the best interior lineman throughout the entire NFL. In  2010, Sitton was named Offensive Lineman of the Year by the NFL Alumni Association and was selected as a Pro Bowl alternate in 2010 and 2011. Finally in 2012 he was named to the Pro Bowl team.

During the first five years of his career, Josh has played right guard, but in 2013 Head Coach Mike McCarthy switched him to the left side to provide more protection to quarterback Aaron Rodgers.  Through the first six games of 2013, Rodgers has been sacked 15 times, which ranks 15th overall in the NFL, the lowest Rodgers has ranked in his entire career.

Besides the added help in the passing game, Sitton seems to making a huge difference in the running game.  The Packers are ranked 11th in total rushing yards so far in 2013, the highest they have been ranked since finishing 14th in 2009.

Sitton has been a vital part to the success over the past four years for the Packers, that included Super Bowl XLV Championship.

On Monday, October 28th, Legends of the Field will be holding a public autograph signing the big left guard.  The signing will take place from 6:30-7:30 at Legends of the Field Mequon, 11030 N. Port Washington Rd. Mequon, WI 53092. We will have photos, footballs and mini helmets available prior to the signing. Tickets are $29.99 for any item but VIP members are $24.99.
