Man Cave Monday

Welcome to the first edition of Legends of the Field Man Cave Monday.  Each week we will feature the top collectors man cave.  If your photo is chosen for the blog on Man Cave Monday, you will be put into a vote at the end of the month, with each other man cave recipient and one winner will be choose. Not a bad gig for having a chance to brag about your collection.

The first winner of Man Cave Monday is Mike. Mike is a Packers collector, from none other than Chicago.  Mike has been a loyal diehard Packers in the toughest city to do so. He regularly makes the trip up to Milwaukee for signings at Legends of the Field. How does your collection stack up against Mike's?

Post your man cave photos to our facebook page or email them to

New and Improved Website, Featuring Deal of the Day

Over the past few months we at Legends of the Field have been working on a brand new website.  The goal of the new site was to make it more user friendly, easy to search for your favorite items and give it an overall cleaner look.

Though we are still making little tweaks, the new site is up and running. One feature we have added was the "Deal of the Day." This will provide one item everyday at a great price. The deal will only last 24 hours then will not available at that price again.

Check out the website here http://www.legendsofthefield.com/ and our "Deal of the Day."

Jolly, Hyde Appear at Legends of the Field

Thank you to everyone who came out to Legends of the Field in Delafield to meet Green Bay Packers Johnny Jolly and Micah Hyde. Packers fans again turned out in large numbers to show their loyalty to the green and gold.

Jolly was very fan friendly and was happy to meet with all the die hard fans who showed up. Jolly has proven this year what a person can do with a second chance. We wish him the best throughout the rest of the season.

Hyde was very appreciative to everyone who came out. A truly humble athlete that respects the fans as much as we all respect him. His potential is limitless as continues to learn and grow through his rookie season.

Please join our new and improved VIP list.  Members will be the first to know about upcoming signings and will be eligible to save money during signing appearances.  http://www.legendsofthefield.com/MailingList_subscribe.asp  Takes 30 seconds and the savings will be worth your time.

Clay Baseballs Show Support for Wisconsin

For the first time in about eight months, Green Bay Packers All-Pro linebacker Clay Matthews, was on the field playing meaningful football against the team that knocked the Packers Super Bowl hopes off track. This is not the first Sunday that Matthews has been productive on his day off.

Last Sunday (9/1/13) we held our private signing with Clay.  Each store is now stocked with authentic and replica Packers with various inscriptions, canvases ranging from 11x30 to 30x80 and everything in between, footballs, photos, mini helmets and baseballs.

You might have did a double take on the last thing on the list, but many collectors love baseballs as a way to not take up as much room and a creative way to show off things a little different (i.e. a football player signing a baseball.)

Clay is also a known Brewers fan, taking in multiple games during the offseason throughout the past five season he has been in Green Bay.

In these Legends of the Field exclusive baseballs, we let Clay show off his Wisconsin pride in adding inscriptions such as "Go Brewers" and "Go Pack" to these baseballs.  Only 11 total baseballs got signed with inscriptions making these extremely rare and tough to find.  These baseballs will not last long. Retail is $219.99 but, mention this blog get the ball with case for $179.99.

"Showtime" takes title at UFC 164

This past Saturday, Milwaukee's own Anthony "Showtime" Pettis took on UFC lightweight Champion  Benson Henderson in the main event of UFC 164 at the BMO Harris Bradley Center . UFC  held its first pay per view event in Milwaukee in correlation with the 110th Anniversary of the Harley Davidson celebration.

Pettis, 17-2 (4-1 UFC), verbally submitted Henderson,(19-3, 7-1 UFC), inside the UFC octagon 4:31 into the first round with an armbar to claim his first UFC title.  For Henderson is was his first loss inside the UFC Octagon but not the first time he lost to Pettis.

Henderson was victim to one of the greatest knockouts ever seen in MMA in 2010 when Pettis hit a 720° spinning kick  off the  cage that struck Henderson in the face.  Pettis also took the belt from Henderson this time as well, this being the WEC Lightweight belt.

Legends of the Field strides to bring in the best local athletes for autograph appearances.  We would like to know, IF we could bring in UFC Lightweight Champion, Anthony "Showtime" Pettis, would you be interested in getting an autograph and a picture?  Please leave your feedback in the comments section or let us know, yes or no, on our Facebook page.

On behalf of Legends of the Field, we would like to congratulate "Showtime" on winning the UFC title and representing Milwaukee on UFC's grandest stage this past Saturday night.
